Hi, I’m Nicole Roberts, a working mom proud to call Fort Bend home.
Fighting for working families is in my DNA. Growing up, my dad was a federal worker and proudly led his labor union. His example taught me early that real leadership means fighting for people’s dignity, opportunity, and a fair shot. Ensuring that everyone is able to earn a respectable living is the example that I follow every day.
I went on to study at Spelman College, where I met my husband. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army, while I worked for the U.S. Social Security Administration and later earned my law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. There, I served on Law Review and volunteered with a nonprofit supporting students with incarcerated parents, an experience that deepened my commitment to lifting up families facing tough circumstances.
With over 20 years of corporate leadership and consulting experience, and decades of service through organizations like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Junior League of Houston, and Jack & Jill of America, Inc., I’ve built my career around collaboration, accountability, and bringing people together.
When our family put down roots in Fort Bend, we knew this was home. Since being elected to my municipal utility district board, I’ve helped tackle critical infrastructure needs like guiding long-term planning, strengthening fiscal accountability, and helping deliver essential projects like a wastewater treatment facility that protects public health and ensures sustainable growth. And on the county’s 2025 citizens redistricting committee, I fought to safeguard residents’ political power, bringing the same commitment to transparency and strong representation to every part of my public service.
As a military family and as parents of twin girls, we understand the service, sacrifice, and everyday challenges that define life for working families. I see those challenges firsthand, balancing my responsibilities as a corporate executive while supporting my daughters’ PTO, and I’m running for Commissioner to make sure every child in Fort Bend County has access to the same opportunities my family has.
With integrity, purpose, and a commitment to every resident’s voice, I’m ready to keep Fort Bend County moving forward.
